Trump administration cuts to federal grants threatens organizations with programs to prevent gun violence, protect runaways and more.

More than $140 million in competitive federal grants will help combat youth homelessness in 33 communities across the United States.

Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), speaking at a National Press Club event, said that he and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) plan to introduce a bill this week to reauthorize the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDPA).

The Obama Administration has released information on a new initiative, Performance Partnership Pilot (P3). The P3 program is targeted to serve disconnected youth across the nation. States, tribes, and municipalities can apply for a Performance Partnership Pilot grant and test innovative, outcome-focused strategies to achieve significant improvements for disconnected youth in educational, employment, mental health and other key outcomes.
