As of last week, The Imprint had identified 10 states that say they plan to take on the Family First Prevention Services Act when it takes effect in October of this year.

While the number of child neglect and sexual abuse cases continues to trend downward, America saw an uptick in maltreatment-related fatalities and the number of documented physical abuse cases, according to an annual report by the Crimes Against Children Research Center at the University of New Hampshire.

Last week, I wrote about the need to address teen pregnancy among youth in foster care. This week, I focus on repeat pregnancies among mothers who are already involved with the child welfare system.
