A selection of The Imprint’s most impactful stories from the past year
Across the country, states are experimenting with targeted cash assistance programs designed to provide stability to vulnerable groups. Among the programs we covered in 2023: guaranteed income for youth exiting foster care in California, cash payments for youth in several states who are at risk of becoming homeless, and a plan to provide $500 in monthly income to Black mothers with CPS cases in Washington, D.C.
