I’ve been in and out of foster care 5 times since I was about 4 days old, in 3 different states. I aged out of a SILP program with a very poor transition plan and put in a homeless shelter. I’ve known since before aging out that I’m going to create reform within the foster care system for these youth because we are a hidden population.
