Nadia Goforth

When Nadia Goforth was 13 years old, she was placed back into foster care after being adopted for a total of 11 years. Goforth was separated from her siblings and shifted through eight different placements up until the age of 18. Goforth was exited from care with no transitional support and quickly fell into homelessness and experiences of domestic violence. When Goforth finally found some semblance of stability, she returned to complete her associate’s degree at Walla Walla Community College, and now her bachelors’ degree at the University of Washington. With a passion for serving youth and advocating for programs that support positive outcomes for foster youth, Goforth has committed her professional endeavors to serving foster care communities. Goforth currently works to support foster youth in achieving high school completion and independence, and is obtaining a master’s degree in policy studies from the University of Washington.
