Lexie Lee is currently studying criminal justice while working full time and living fully on her own in the beautiful city of Seattle. One of Lexie's biggest possessions in life is using her lived experience in foster care to support others who’ve been through the system. After moving to the U.S from Bulgaria in 2016, Lee faced a lot of challenges, including navigating adoption, foster homes, group homes and learning to speak up for herself. This pushed her to really get involved in youth leadership, advisory work and programs like AmeriCorp where Lee has been able to really grow not only personally but also professionally. Lee really cares deeply about issues like equity, mental health and justice and is especially interested in working in investigations or with the FBI someday. Lee also worked very closely with school safety groups and food shelters, and NRM/ EFC meetings, and tries to be involved in spaces where she can help others feel seen and supported. In Lee's free time, she enjoys watching crime shows and documentaries, spending time with people she trusts, and learning about how systems work and how they can be improved.
