Bianca Bennett-Scott

Bianca Bennett-Scott is a bold and authentic advocate reshaping the future of child welfare. Having navigated the complexities of the New York State foster care system for eight nonconsecutive years, Bennett-Scott has turned her pain into passion and her passion into purpose. She is grounded in the belief that education is liberation and that justice must be rooted in truth and authenticity. Bennett-Scott brings a unique ability to bridge personal experience with professional expertise, driving change across systems that often affect young people, including child welfare, housing justice, juvenile justice, and education equity. Her work centers on rehumanizing broken systems and building pathways that honor the dignity, resilience, and leadership of those most impacted. Bennett-Scott serves as a child welfare consultant for national and local reform efforts. She holds an associate's degree in business administration, a bachelor's degree in law and government, and a master’s degree of public administration. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and an advisory board member for You Gotta Believe, a nonprofit focused on finding permanent families for older youth in care. Looking ahead, Bianca is committed to disrupting traditional systems and reimagining social programs rooted in truth, care, and justice.
