Alex Furtado

Alex Furtado is a resilient and service-driven young man who prides himself on advocating for youth in the foster care system and those experiencing homelessness. He is very passionate about expanding housing and supportive services across Los Angeles County and hopes his story can encourage everyone he meets. Furtado plans to attend California State University, Northridge in the fall/spring. He hopes to become a director of a nonprofit organization within the community he grew up in. Furtado enjoys visiting the Santee Alleys in Downtown Los Angeles and the Venice beach boardwalk in his free time.
